Our 37th Anniversary Today, Grandson Caleb's Birthday, and we are painting our WALLS!!!

Papa and Roger, the man who did our mudding/walls in photos below:

With Roger all done, Mark begans his painting.
The main colour is call "Butter Cookie" by Brers
Accented by "Amber" which Mark says looks
like the inside of a ripe peach.

Lots of progress...have a look! See our new wildlife updates

Mark borrowed our neighbour's tractor to mow our large
front grass.  We  also had a murder of crows move in
next door to the barn....noisy fellows indeed!
This week we had a few surprise visitor....A hugeblack bear  &
a young moose...(sorry no photos) and a pair of sandhill storks.
The photo of the birds were taken by Mark/Papa...he walked
out through a field to get them!  Good work!!

Now as you can see the "mudding"(crack fill) has began on the inside
of the home, and I am now looking at "paint chips" deciding
on colours....thank the "Good Lord" that I have daughters
to help me here...boy am I bad at this job...LOL
Yes Wendy, we are looking into the yellows too!!

Last but not least, the shingles are nearly done...looking good!!!

Good-Bye July....Hello August...Please be the Month I move into my HOME!!

July is ending very quickly, and the fields are taking on a new
look.  The yellow canola flowers are dropping off pedals making the fields
all patchy patterned.  The sky is large here so opened and seems to
put on a show of dazzling light, which in a kind of way, makes
up for the lost of our large river and ocean. The young Buck
runs by showing off  new antlers, as the farmers are
now starting the haying....the first of the harvest!
So before the blooms died away, I took a photo of the
house ,with the finished end, and the barn...from a far with my
300mm lense....since I was out with the camera...well
I drove around my nieghbourhood...and this is what I saw.
